GET WELL SOON!

Many of you who frequent this blog or know co founder of Citizenofshred.com, Blake, know that he hurt his knee early this year, which pretty much held him back for the rest of the winter. After the initial blow on just the third day of the season, many hospital visits, many mixed opinions and a lot of not hitting kickers. It ended with him missing a box and getting taken of the hill at First, Switzerland in a wheel chair (you can see the accident at the end of the video attached). The official diagnosis, ACL caput and in need of a full knee reconstruction. Today marks the day of that reconstruction. Good luck Blake and cant wait to see you back on the hill, hitting kickers this coming winter.

Billabong Ante Up

The first TTR event of the 2010/11 season was held in Whistler my home away from home last week end. Unfortunately due to work obligations i was unable to make it up to see it for myself but here is a "best of" video, that was made on the event. Complete with some amazing Whistler scenic shots and numerous double cork combinations, it makes for a great watch. If this contest is anything to go by, its going to be an very interesting and very competitive year.

Every Third Thursday record release party

Signal snowboards has started a new segment on their blog called Every Third Thursday. In it they will be looking at new options for board construction.

"Building boards with themes, crazy materials or modifications that will give us all, a new way of looking at snowboard design. From paper to press and hopefully to the hill, these boards will be unlike anything you've ever seen. Some will work, some may not, but through this process we may just find something new that could revolutionize our snowboards. Or it may be good for laugh. Either way, it's going to be fun!"

The First edit is a classic, I definitely would love to have one of these in my quiver. Check it out!

Just so happens I had a copy of Rocking Rod's greatest hits which graces the cover of the sleeve model. Rod is also one of Zaks' greatest heroes. While we are poaching a little Rod couldn't hurt.

The Archives

Feeling a little bit slack but don't have much to report at present with Zak being in Whistler waiting for his new camera to arrive to start on the first of this seasons skate edits and me being holed up at home waiting for the knee mechanic to do his business so I thought I would post another couple of clips from the vault. ENJOY

ACL SURGERY

So I finally got the heads up on a date for surgery on my right knee, locked in for the 1st of July.

Really looking forward to getting it out of the way and jumping into some serious rehab and hopefully be riding in time for Spring Feb/March. Been on a prehab program the last month or so little bit of exercise bike($10 steal from the tip) some weird leg exercises and walking laps in the pool since last week, seems like it is helping a bit with my leg feeling stronger and the doctors tell me this is the best way to give myself the best chance and shredding ASAP.

Gonna try get some snaps of the operation taking place so be sure to keep an eye back on the site for when they get posted.
